"Only You can Prevent Forest Fires"

Fire Prevention Week is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of fire safety. October 6-12 is Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme is Prevent Kitchen Fires. Cooking is the leading cause of fires and fire injuries in the home. Resource material is available free online from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Fire Prevention Canada and Scholastic. Materials include how-to guides for the fire service, lesson plans for teachers, activities for kids and families, media releases, graphics and lots more.

So make sure your ovens and stoves are off after you make frybread. ;)
